Purpose: To serve Jesus and facilitate effective ministry at East Tenth Street Christian Church by providing dependable, relational, and excellent administrative services.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Daily
-
Provide bookkeeping services using Quickbooks (manage receipts, invoices, reports, etc.)
-
Receive and organize the mail
-
Handle phone calls, voicemails, in-office visits, and general emails to the church
Weekly
-
Provide consistent office hours
-
Create, proofread, print, and fold the weekly bulletin
-
Collect and record weekly offering and attendance totals
-
Ensure the lobby table and the main bulletin board has up-to-date information and looks neat
-
Oversee the church calendar and maintain its accuracy by working with staff members, ministry leaders, and members to schedule events and reserve the building
-
Make bank deposits and handle necessary mailings
-
Ensure birthday and anniversary cards are mailed each week to members and regular attenders
-
Record weekly giving totals for individuals and families, including online giving

Create and distribute monthly serving and nursery schedules and communicate regularly with volunteers to ensure dependable participation

Track inventory and restock office supplies

Maintain publication and digital subscriptions

Keep the missions bulletin board current
General
-
Use primarily cloud services (like the GSuite, Dropbox, Wix, Canva, Remind) to perform necessary and regular administrative duties
-
Work with the pastor to manage prayer requests
-
Keep the Church Ministry Team Manual up-to-date and maintain a current directory of ministry teams and members (including contact information)

Create and maintain a church database of members, regular attenders, and visitors
-
Keep the Church Leadership Info Sheet and Shepherding List current and distribute as directed
-
Work with the church’s accountant to ensure timely and accurate financial reports
-
Print documents as needed, especially for board meetings and congregational meetings
-
Organize and store physical copies of necessary documents
-
Digitize and organize church documents and records as directed by the pastor and the chairman of the board
-
Type up (when applicable) and organize board meeting minutes for easy reference
-
Manage and complete government, facility, or ministry forms as needed
-
Make purchases for different ministry areas as needed or requested
-
Print end-of-the year giving statements
