With our country beginning to reopen and North Carolina moving into Phase 2 on May 22, 2020, we began the process of reopening Sunday, May 24. We are doing several things to reduce risk and ensure a safe worship experience. We are offering three 45-minute services in the sanctuary at 8:30, 9:45am, and 11am. Sanctuary seating is limited to 50 people.
We request people sign up each week for the service they plan to attend.
Here are more details about our plan:
The nursery (3yr old and under) and primary church (4 yr old - 1st grade) are available at the 9:45 service only.
We are only using the education building’s entrances, unless there is an emergency.
We are using every other pew in the sanctuary to promote social distancing.
Sanitation of surfaces and points of contact is done before and after each service.
Hand sanitizers and a cleaning station are available.
Communion and offering happen at the front of the room and are conducted with social distancing.
Facial coverings are voluntary, but the CDC recommends them.
Please be mindful of sanitation practices when entering and exiting the building. The sanctuary will be open for seating only after it has been sanitized following each service.
We will be live streaming the audio of the 11am worship service each Sunday on a phone conference line. Dial 866-675-8365 to join us and listen in.
We ask that anyone who feels sick or has run a fever during the previous week remain home. We also recommend anyone who is in the high risk category and feels uncomfortable attending, stay home for the time being.
We are excited to begin the process of reopening. We anticipate we will continue this modified worship format for many months. Let’s continue to trust God and love each other.
